Grandma's Craft Day - Decorating Notebooks and Memo Pads

Congrats Heather and Kyle!  Carol wanted me to post this so those who didn't get theirs in the mail will still be notified.
This was my kind of craft day!  It was so easy, with no stress because Grandma practically did all the work.  Thanks Grandma!

Misty's Craft Day - Bookmarks, Earrings, and Pancakes

We used organdy ribbon to weave through each alphabet bead and then tied square knots to secure them in place.  Piece of cake!

This pendant and earrings are old buttons from Grandma's stash she has collected over the years.  We drilled holes in them and made jewelry.  It was so fun and easy!  So don't waste your buttons!  I can't wait to make more.
These are also buttons, but from my mom's stash.  Don't they make darling earrings for little girls?!
Misty had a lot of leftover hearts, so we each made a pair of earrings.

Melinda's Craft Day - Christmas Nic Nac Sled

I had everyone over for Craft Day for December's craft to make this cute Christmas nic nac. I actually thought this one up all on my own without leaning on my mom, Misty, or anyone! I was so proud of myself. Grandma, Cathy, Carol, Velda, and Misty were able to make it. We missed the rest of you!
You can hang it horizontally...
OR vertically and it looks fabulous both ways.
Carol ACTUALLY decided on a color for her sled, believe it or not! Haha!
Grandma commented she is "a dabber" instead of "a stroker," like Grandpa, when it comes to painting. I know I got Grandma's "dabbing" gene. My mom and Cathy were the only ones that confessed they were "strokers." Figures! Grandpa is their father. The whole subject gave us a chuckle or two.

Misty, Melinda, and Grandma - Can you tell we were having fun?

Top: Melinda, Velda, Cathy
Bottom: Reagan & Misty, Grandma, and Carol
Instructions to make the nic nac:
1. Purchase wooden sled at Robert's Crafts (while supplies last) for $2.99, 50% off. Woohoo!
2. Find the vinyl letters. (I had Spencer's cousin, Amy, make these vinyl signs for me on her vinyl letter machine. I'm sure you all know someone that does, but if you don't and you are interested, just let me know and I will order more from Amy.)
3. Paint the sled
4. Sand the edges (if desired)
5. Lay the vinyl letters on the sled and rub on with a credit card
6. Walla! You're done!
